Abstract

Closing the loop in nanotheranostics, we integrate radionuclide production with functional nanomedicine through mesoporous alumina based radiochemical separation of no-carrier-added (NCA) ¹²⁴I and its direct incorporation into protein functionalized platinum nanoparticles. The intrinsically radiolabeled [¹²⁴I]I-Pt@GA shows high labeling efficiency, excellent stability, quantitative PET imaging, and effective photothermal cancer cell ablation.
