Saxsons own-brand PET L-Bench engineered for 511 keV radiopharmaceutical dispensing — FDG, Ga-68, Cu-64, Lu-177 theranostic prep. Two lead-shielding tiers cover the dispense-energy range: 50 mm for standard PET work, 60 mm for high-throughput / source-vial dispensing. Mild-steel painted (MS) and SS 304 outer finishes; sizes from the 14″×14″×24″ compact tier through the 24″×24″×24″ standard envelope. 8″×8″×4″ lead-glass viewing window available in standard and premium tiers per the variant build sheet. 50 mm and 60 mm lead-shielded benches across the 511 keV PET workflow envelope
50 mm or 60 mm tier per shift-activity. 24″×24″×24″ standard build with 8″×8″×4″ lead-glass window covers the dispense-line workhorse — operator dispenses through the window, dose-calibrator sits in the well, syringes shielded against the bench drop.
50 mm tier sufficient for typical Ga-68-DOTATATE / DOTATOC / PSMA-11 per-elution activity range (≤ 1.85 GBq). Compact 14″×14″×24″ envelope fits next to the generator hot cell.
60 mm tier for Lu-177-DOTATATE / PSMA-617 / FAPI per-batch dispensing at 4–7.4 GBq per patient. The premium lead-glass option gives the highest viewing-window attenuation for theranostic workloads.
60 mm 24″×24″×24″ build with base-lead option for high-throughput hot-labs running 30+ dispenses per shift from a source vial. Side-shielding packs extend the perimeter for the multi-station layout.
SS 304 outer variant for clean-room hot-labs where the bench is decontaminated daily on the cleaning-validation schedule — stainless-steel surface withstands repeated wet wipe-down without coating degradation.
14″×14″×24″ compact 60 mm tier for hot-labs where the bench has to sit between two adjacent stations (dose calibrator + fume hood + syringe-shield station). Same 8″×8″×4″ lead-glass viewing window as the standard build.
At 511 keV, the half-value layer (HVL) in pure lead is roughly 4.1 mm; a 60 mm lead wall delivers roughly 14.6 HVL of attenuation — the primary annihilation flux is reduced to a fraction of a percent. For high-throughput PET dispensing benches with 30+ doses per shift cumulative activity, 60 mm is the engineering choice that keeps operator whole-body and extremity dose comfortably inside the AERB / ICRP annual budget.
The lead-glass viewing window is the operator-facing weak point of any shielded bench. The PET L-Bench family ships in standard and premium lead-glass tiers — the premium tier is the right pick for high-throughput dispensing where operator-face dose during a high-activity dispense matters most.
The 24″×24″×24″ standard build is the workhorse PET dispensing envelope — wide enough to house the dose calibrator + dispense tray + sharps shield together. Compact 14″×14″×24″ variant available where the hot-lab footprint forces a narrower layout.
