Saxsons own-brand lead-lined fume hood — a configurable hot-lab workstation manufactured in India in an ISO 9001 / ISO 13485 approved plant. Lead-shielded enclosure (3 / 5 / 6 / 10 / 12 mm options) with a stainless-steel-lined work zone, counter-weighted clear acrylic sash, CE-marked motor driving an AMCA-certified centrifugal fan through an active-carbon (and optional pre-filter + HEPA + UV) filtration train. Configured per site SOP — choose the size, shielding, materials, filter pack and accessory fit-out that match the workflow. Minimum face velocity 0.5 m/s per AERB guidelines.

One cabinet family across Tc-99m, F-18, Ga-68, Lu-177 and I-131 dispensing workflows
Daily Tc-99m kit reconstitution and dispensing inside a 3–6 mm lead-shielded enclosure. Generator compartment variant houses the Tc-99m generator inside the cabinet; the dispensing line runs alongside without separate room shielding.
Per-patient [18F]FDG / [18F]NaF unit-dose dispensing from a transport vial. 5–6 mm shielding plus the optional 45 mm Capintec-type lead rings cover the 511 keV annihilation line at typical PET unit-dose activities.
10–12 mm shielding option for theranostic dispensing programmes — Lu-177 DOTATATE / PSMA-617 and Ga-68 generator elution. PLC + body-shield premium build adds operator-side dose-rate management for routine high-activity dispensing.
I-131 capsule dispense and oral-solution decant — active-carbon filter + optional HEPA captures volatile radioiodine on the exhaust before site-stack release.
Dose-calibrator ionisation-chamber-mount variant integrates an end-user-supplied dose calibrator inside the cabinet, with the display mounted externally. Removes a separate dispensing-bench footprint from the hot-lab fit-out.
Lockable cabinet, factory face-velocity certificate, daily anemometer log (when anemometer is fitted) and the AERB compliance paperwork pack — the cabinet ships ready for first-inspection sign-off and slots into the routine inspection dossier thereafter.
AERB Safety Code for Nuclear Medicine Facility expects a minimum 0.5 m/s face velocity at the sash opening on dispensing fume hoods. Every Saxsons-built cabinet ships with a factory-issued face-velocity certificate at the time of shipping, and the optional hot-wire anemometer keeps the operator within spec day to day.
Routine Tc-99m kit dispensing runs at 3 mm. Mid-activity F-18 / Ga-68 / Lu-177 dispensing runs at 5 / 6 mm. Theranostic high-activity prep runs at 10 / 12 mm. One cabinet family covers the whole NM activity range — choose the shielding tier for the workflow, not for the whole department.
