High-activity PET dispense benches accumulate operator dose across the shift. A height-adjustable barrier with lead-glass window sits at the dispense workstation; the hydraulic-jack adjusts the window-to-eye alignment as the operator moves between sit and stand. The integrated bench tray keeps the workflow inside the shielded envelope.
A permanent wall is a structural-shielding plan committed at facility build. A mobile barrier is the answer when the dispense / inject / therapy workflow needs a shield TODAY without a re-design. Lockable castors keep it in place during use; the chassis rolls to the next station when the workflow moves.

Q.When does an NM department need a mobile lead barrier rather than fixed shielding?
Fixed shielding (bench walls, room walls, lead-lined doors) is engineered into the hot-lab build; you can't move it. Some workflows need protection at a location that changes — the injection chair position in the theranostic-therapy suite, the transient waste-hold location during a spill response, the operator position at an unshielded imaging bench during a research protocol. A mobile lead barrier gives the department a movable shielded workstation for these transient use cases without cutting into fixed shielding.
Q.What Pb thickness fits which use case?
Lighter Pb tier for routine SPECT bench extension and injection-room dividers where the ambient activity is Tc-99m at 140 keV. Mid Pb for I-131 therapy-suite dividers between operator and patient. Q.What does the integrated bench tray on the mobile barrier solve?
The therapist needs to hold syringes, swabs and the dose calibrator readout during dispensing. Without a shielded-side tray, that equipment sits on the unshielded operator-side surface — the operator hand reaches back and forth between the shielded work and the tray. An integrated tray on the operator side of the barrier keeps the workflow organised without the reach.
Q.What is the injector-cart variant for?
The injector cart is a wheeled shielded trolley (15 mm Pb) that brings the dispensed theranostic dose from the hot lab to the patient injection chair. The dose sits inside the cart shielding across the transit; the technologist wheels the cart, positions it beside the chair, and connects the infusion line without breaking the shielded chain. Reduces transit dose to the operator and to any staff in the corridor between hot lab and injection room.
