Abstract

AbstractStereotactic ablative radiotherapy (SABR) is increasingly administered in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) treatment. The CyberKnife (CK) system is the most advanced robotic radiosurgery system for delivering SABR. Using three-dimensional multi-angle irradiation, a unique fiducial marker, and a synchronous respiratory tracking system, the off-target caused by respiratory movement is maximally avoided, which achieves favorable dose conformation, and the dose rapidly drops off in the surrounding normal tissue. In a real sense, CK achieves accurate positioning, planning, and irritation. The Chinese expert consensus on CK for HCC was established after discussion.
