Recent advances in PSMA therapy - from beta to alpha

Abstract

management of patients with advanced prostate cancer, firmly anchored in clinical guidelines [8].This article provides an update on established PSMA theranostics using beta-emitting ligands, based on major clinical trial results.It then continues with an overview of more recent developments in the field of PSMA radiotheranostics, focusing on alpha-based approaches, in particular on actinium-based and, subsequently, astatine-and leadbased radiopharmaceutical therapies (RPTs).
