A configurable shielding-tier ladder covers the dispense-energy range from routine SPECT through I-131, routine PET (FDG / Ga-68) and high-activity PET / Lu-177 theranostic disposal. Magnetic top-cap closure allows one-handed sharps deposit with minimal handling time; the hinged lid opens at the scheduled disposal step. Lock-secured against unauthorised access. Why Saxsons™ Sharps Container Shield?
The operator opens the lid with one hand while holding the contaminated sharps with the other. A magnetic closure means the lid swings open with the lightest finger pressure and closes itself when released — minimising the time the hand spends over the open chassis.
Sharps containers carrying high-activity Pb-shielded contents (PET, Lu-177) need a lock between dispense shifts to satisfy AERB chain-of-custody documentation. The integrated lock + scheduled-key access pattern lines up with the radiation-safety-officer SOP.
