miniGITA SlimCompact Radio-TLC Scanner — Built for Tight Hot-Lab Benches
Compact radio thin-layer chromatography scanner with the same interchangeable scintillation-probe family as the standard radio-TLC instrument — V-shaped BGO + PMT (OFA) default for SPECT + PET gamma; ZnS(Tl) Alpha and self-shielded PMT (3SA) probes optional — in a reduced-footprint chassis. Designed for radiopharmacy and theranostic hot labs where bench depth is constrained — fits a 600 mm bench without overhanging the dispensing area. Motorised low-noise scan stage. USB / Ethernet to QC software for Eur.Ph. / USP <823> %RCP release, 21 CFR Part 11 audit trail.
Key Features
- Compact chassis — designed for a standard 600 mm bench-depth hot-lab fit-out; does not overhang the dispensing area
- Same interchangeable scintillation-probe family as the full-size radio-TLC scanner — V-shaped BGO + PMT (OFA) default for SPECT + PET gamma; ZnS(Tl) Alpha and self-shielded PMT (3SA) probes optional
- Four tungsten collimators cover 0–60 keV / 60–250 keV / 250–450 keV / > 450 keV
- Motorised low-noise scan stage with redesigned drive; vibration profile compatible with aseptic dispensing alongside
- Standard TLC / ITLC strip support; configurable scan travel within the compact form factor

Applications
The right radio-TLC scanner for bench-depth-constrained hot labs
Satellite imaging centre
PET / SPECT satellite centres that receive labelled doses centrally but need on-site %RCP verification before injection. Compact chassis fits inside a small hot-lab fit-out — the satellite gets the same release-grade QC as the central radiopharmacy.
Single-suite theranostic
Stand-alone theranostic clinics dispensing Lu-177 DOTATATE / PSMA-617 in single-suite fit-outs — the radio-TLC release sits next to the dose calibrator on the same 600 mm bench without crowding the dispensing zone.
Academic hot-lab fit-out
Teaching-hospital and research-radiopharmacy installations where the hot lab is a converted room with constrained bench depth. Compact instrument keeps the full release-grade QC capability within the room budget.
Disaster-recovery instrument
Departments that keep a backup radio-TLC scanner for instrument-down contingency — Slim chassis stores easily and slides into bench position when the primary instrument is in service.
F-18 PET tracer release
Per-batch [18F]FDG and [18F]NaF release in compact PET-tracer pharmacies — same Eur.Ph. monograph thresholds, same release semantics, smaller bench footprint.
Tc-99m kit release
Daily cold-kit Tc-99m release (MDP, DMSA, MIBI, ECD, MAG3) in space-constrained nuclear-medicine departments — the compact chassis means the release-grade scanner fits on the existing bench without rebuilding the hot lab.
Why miniGITA Slim?
A standard hot-lab bench is typically 600 mm deep. The compact chassis sits within that depth without overhanging the dispensing zone — important when the dispensing technologist is working at the same bench. Full-size scanners typically need 700–800 mm and force a bench rebuild.
The detection chain — interchangeable scintillation probe head (BGO + PMT OFA default; ZnS(Tl) Alpha and PMT 3SA optional), electronics, software — is shared with the full-size scanner. Methods written for one instrument run on the other. A site that grows from a Slim install into a full hot lab does not throw away its method library.
Compact footprint does not mean a stripped-down audit trail. The 21 CFR Part 11 compliance, the electronic-signature non-repudiation, and the method-versioning are the same as the full-size instrument — the release record meets the same AERB inspection expectation.
